Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

We have had a lot of fun the last two weeks.

We all enjoyed Christmas, it was simple and quiet. I really love being at home, doing our own thing. It helps us grow closer as a family, making our own little family traditions.

Here are a few of the high-lights....

Kevin didn't work this past week. The time we have spent together as a family was priceless, we don't want it to end. After a busy year with Kevin in school and the rest of us busy with Young Women's, sports, and everything else we need time to just be together and be normal. Something we never feel we get to be with the pressure of everything we have going on.

So this week was spent time swimming at the local rec. center, going to a movie, snow sledding, and ice skating to name a few. We also had our families first ever New Years Eve party. We made our own decorations, party hats, and noise makers. We played Twister and some other games. Stayed up late( 9:30), had a count down to 2010! We all had a blast!

Ethan tried hard, but he fell a lot and was all tied up in knotts.

He was so funny.

Kev and Izzy

Cole on his way up the hill.

Jill, Ethan, and Izzy headed down.

Hope you all had a wonderful end of the year!

First Tooth Lost!

Ethan lost his first tooth tonight!
It has been loose for weeks now. This kid has a hard time letting go of things. I almost thought it would never come out because he would never work on it for fear of it actually coming out. However, tonight he finally let me push on it. One good push and it was barely hanging on. Then I pretended to dab on it with a tissue, I grabbed a hold of it and out it came.
Super easy, and as you can see he is super excited.

Happy Halloween!

We have had a great Halloween. The kids have their buckets full of candy, and so are their bellies. Mom and Dad are a little too full as well.

They were all very excited about their costume choices this year.

Cole wanted to be a Mummy, that was a fun and easy costume to put together.

Ethan was a Ghost, I made the costume, I think it turned out really well. He liked it, that's all that mattered.

Isabel was a Kitty, and a super cute one.
Last but not least, Ashton was a Skeleton and by far the easiest. It was a pair of PJ's we bought months ago.
Here are the rest....

Little Cheerleader

Isabel has started to play dress-up, which is super fun. So the other day Izzy wanted to put this one on. This outfit was a hand-me-down from my sister Holly. Kevin and I don't like to affiliate ourselves with the school she is representing, so I debated even letting her use it. However, we gave in and she was in it all day. I made her some crude pom poms out of cut up grocery bags and she had tons of fun. So I guess what's the harm that it says BYU, as long as she doesn't go there someday. Well, unless it is BYU Hawaii, that would be fine with us.
Go!
Fight!
Win!

Ashton...7 1/2 months!

Ashton, our little cutie!
I can't believe he is almost 8 months now!
Where is the time going? Lately I find myself cuddling and kissing on him all the time. I know he is my last so I feel the need to get all this snugly baby time in. I can see why the baby of the families are SO spoiled....parents can't help it.
It's our last chance.
What is it about paper and babies? They just can't leave it alone.

He has been sitting up for awhile now and scooting. He is getting really close to crawling. The other night he woke-up(Oh did I mention, still not sleeping through the night-darn) and he had pulled himself up to the side of the crib. Well the next day we lowered the crib mattress. For the Last time.

YES!

Snow Is Here!

We woke up to this! SNOW!
Too soon, I say, TOO SOON!
We had a really wet, mild summer.....so "they" say we are in for a wet, snowy winter.
All I can say is my poor flowers. I wasn't ready to say good bye.

FHS Homecoming Parade!

Last weekend Cole and his flag football team was in the Frederick High school's homecoming parade. It was fun for all of us. Ethan and Isabel were excited to watch and wait for their brother to come and throw them candy. Cole didn't disappoint. He showered us with goodies.
It was great.

Even Ashton thought it was exciting!
