Colonial Williamsburg

Colonial Williamsburg

Right after the kids were finished trick-or-treating we loaded everyone up and drove down to Williamsburg, VA.  Here they have preserved many buildings and artifacts of the colonial period.  We toured the different buildings and participated in a few of the reenactments of the revolutionary struggle during 1775(the beginning of our country's revolution).

The weather was terrible that day, it was very rainy, a little windy, and COLD.  Not the best day to explore such a fun place, but we tried to make the best of it.  The kids were often cranky and tried of being cold, but after locking them up in the town stocks they mended their ways. (Not really, but the adults did their best to enjoy themselves despite the bad weather and cranky kids)

The Governor's Palace

Palace entry way you are greeted by a huge display of weapons.
It was to show his power to anyone who came to the house.
