3rd Grade field trip to the Misawa Air and Space Museum

Misawa has a pretty nice air and space museum.  It has a ton of really cool hands on activities for the kids to do.  It also finally explained to me why Misawa Japan is connected to Wenatchee, WA.
Miss Veedol is the reason they are forever connected. It was the first airplane to fly non-stop across the Pacific Ocean. On October 5, 1931 the two Americans took off from a beech in Misawa and after a 41 hour flight, they landed in Wenatchee.
We thought the 12 hour flight we took to get here was long!

Science experiment time!
