Silly Soccer!

Ethan has started soccer as well. He is in a younger group than his brother Cole. In this age group they learn the fundamentals, they don't play games. We call it "silly soccer" because well...it is. Ethan spends most his time working on a move we call the "The Kick-Flip". First he gives the ball a kick and than instead of running after it, he preforms a summer salt. All I can say is, Money well spent! Really all that matters is that he is having fun, and who knows, the kick-flip might catch on.

These following pictures are of the photographer trying to get a team photo. I don't think he got the so called "perfect shot". However, I think these show the true personality of the Cats.
I know, Cats, pretty sad name and watching the photographer try to get a picture was like trying to herd cats!!

SCORE!!

Go Cole! Go Cole! All the Way Go!..........SCORE!
Well Cole started soccer! He had his second game tonight and OH what a game. Cole scored a goal, it was so exciting. He got the ball and kicked it head of the pack, from one end of the field to the other. Leaving all the rest in his dust. What a speedster!
He has really taken to the game and enjoys it.

Red Hawks 3
They really have a great team this year, they play really well together. As you can see I am very proud of him! I couldn't wait to share.

Super Cute Onesies!

I really wanted to show off these super cute onesies my sister Holly made for Ashton. I just love them. All I can say is that she has talent. Thanks Sis!

Here is a close up, and YES a smile! I was able to catch a smile on camera. It is hard at this age, they don't say "cheese" quite yet.
I just love the detail of this elephant.....Holls you are amazing!
Ashton is now 6 weeks old. I really can't believe how the time is flying by. I have to say with him being our last, I really am treasuring all the little moments.

Easter....Oh Boy!

We had a really fun Easter this year. It started with our tradition of coloring the eggs. Which is always a crazy affair. Every year I kick myself for leaving it to the last minute, but I think they turned out just fine. The kids were really excited to get their baskets ready for the Easter bunny. As you can see Cole is beside himself with excitement.

Ashton was tired and wanting his mommy.....but he was trying to support his sibs in the fun.

After all the excitement and all the candy, we had to get ready for 9am church. Needless to say it was a mad rush. We are still trying to pull off this 6 person family thing. Here are the kids in their Easter best.

Our Little Lady Is Two!

Isabel turned two today! I just can't believe it. These past two years have just flown by at the speed of light. She is such a big girl and growing up so fast.

Here are a few things she can do:

  1. She is talking up a storm and she wants to try and say everything you are saying. Most of the time she gets it pretty close if not right on.
  2. She can already count to 10 and just now sitting here beside me she made it to 12. I am amazed!
  3. She can put on her own shoes.
  4. She can almost put on her own pants.
  5. She can put on her own coat, with just a little help from mom or dad.
  6. When we need her to come she tells us, "Just a minute".

Here is the cake that I made for her. She just loved the lady bugs.

We had her birthday party yesterday so that my parents, who were visiting us, could participate. We started off with presents and cake, then everyone went to the rec center to go swimming. We all had a lot of fun.

This morning we had a special birthday breakfast with Belgian waffles topped with strawberries and whipped cream. Yum! Yum!

We just love our little princess, we feel so blessed to have such a sweet little girl in our family.

We all had so much fun, here are some more pictures:

Ashton's Blessing

This past Sunday we blessed our new baby Ashton. It was a busy weekend, full of family and fun. We were blessed to have a few of our family members join us. We live so far away it is hard for people to travel so we are thankful to those who made the trip.

It was a great day! Kevin gave Ashton a wonderful blessing. We had a yummy lunch afterwords. Here are a few pictures from the day....

Kevin and Ashton...He cried for these photos. I can't complain, he did sleep pretty much the rest of the day.

Ethan and Izzie really loved the chocolate cake. Izzie is asking for one more.

Izzie trying to talk Grandma and Grandpa J into that piece of cake.

Sallie and Micah hanging out on the couch. Their son Matai...he is a cutie!

My good friends Jen and Liz stopped by to say Hi!

It was a really fun day! Thanks to all who came and made it so special.

The Butterfly Pavilion

We had some family come and visit us this past weekend. My parents and my sister Sallie and her family. Kevin's parents and his sister Jen and her husband Doug. They were here for Ashton's baby blessing. It was fun to have them come and make the long trip to Colorado.

On Saturday we took the kids to The Butterfly Pavilion. It is a kind of zoo for bugs. You get to see all kinds of bugs and all kinds of butterflies. The kids had a lot of fun.

Cole hoping that a butterfly will land on him.

Matai, Grandma J, Auntie Sallie, Izzie, Cole, and Ethan.

Isabel really liked the spiders. She even wanted to hold the tarantula. However, they don't let kids Izzie's age hold it so Daddy held it for her. Grandpa J and I held it as well, it is not as bad as you might think. It was really cool.

Ethan looking at the new butterflies coming out of their cocoons.

Silly Hats

Ashton and Isabel

The other night Isabel was into wearing hats. She thought Ashton should wear one too.

I think this is the start of many more years of playing dress up with your sister....sorry Ashton.
